What's Covered
- CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR recorders, and NVRs: 12 months from date of delivery
- Smart home devices, biometric access controllers, and intercoms: 12 months from date of delivery
- Networking equipment (switches, routers, access points): 12 months from date of delivery
- Frame cables, PSUs, power supplies, and consumables: 90 days from date of delivery
- Free post-purchase site-support on installation issues is included for 30 days after installation is completed
What's Not Covered
- Damage caused by lightning, power surges, floods, or acts of God
- Damage from unauthorised modifications, third-party servicing, or opening the product housing
- Normal wear, cosmetic damage, or damage caused by misuse
- Loss of data stored on recording devices — you are responsible for your own backup regime
- Problems caused by third-party equipment that is not part of the shipped kit
How to Make a Claim
If you believe your product is faulty within the warranty period:
- Message us on WhatsApp +254 790 528 402 with your invoice / receipt number and a short description of the issue
- We will respond within 24 working hours (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm EAT)
- If the fault is confirmed, we will coordinate repair, replacement, or a pro-rated replacement — whichever we determine is most practical
- If a replacement is issued, the warranty period continues from the original purchase date, NOT from the replacement date
Service & Repair Out-of-Warranty
Products outside the warranty period may be repaired at a cost agreed in advance. A diagnostic fee of KES 1,500 applies to all out-of-warranty assessments, which is waived if you proceed with the repair.
Warranty Void
The warranty shall be void if:
- The product has been opened or serviced by anyone other than an authorised Sentinel Spear technician
- Diagnostic evidence shows the product was exposed to voltage outside the rated input range
- The product registration / proof of purchase cannot be produced
- The serial number or manufacturer label has been removed or defaced
Extended Support Plans
For commercially deployed sites we offer annual maintenance contracts covering remote monitoring, firmware updates, and priority on-site call-outs. Contact us at ops@sentinelspear.com for a commercial SLA quote.
